The Temple of Heaven
was originally built in 1420 of Ming Dynasty occupying an area
of 272 hectares. It was the place where the emperors of Ming and
Qing Dynasties worshipped Heaven and prayed for good harvests. The
north part of the temple looks like a roundness and the south looks
like a square, which means that the heaven is round and the earth
is square. The main buildings are the Hall for the Prayer for Good
Harvests, the round Altar, the Echo Wall, and Imperial Vault of
Heaven.

Badaling Great Wall in Beijing is mainly remains from the Ming Dynasty
(1368 - 1644).

- the general name given to the mausoleums of 13 emperors of the
Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644). The mausoleums have been perfectly preserved,
as has the necropolis of each of the many emperors. Because of its
long history, palatial and integrated architecture, the site has
a high cultural and historic value. The layout and arrangement of
all thirteen mausoleums are very similar but vary in size as well
as in the complexity of their structures.

expanded under the personal supervision of five emperors of the
Qing Dynasty. In October 1860, the Anglo-French forces sacked and
looted Yuanmingyuan and burned it to the ground.
